In this strategic context, the European Chamber of Commerce in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA), established in May 2024, serves as the pivotal bilateral chamber fostering dialogue and collaboration between European businesses and Saudi stakeholders. With strong government ties and EU diplomatic support, ECCKSA provides a dynamic business network and facilitates key meetings and seminars with top-tier speakers from Saudi Arabia, the GCC, and Europe. ECCKSA offers essential services to support European business in Saudi Arabia, including connecting with potential partners, and offering market intelligence and research.
As the preferred platform for European business representation, ECCKSA is committed to strengthening economic ties and advancing the European business community in Saudi Arabia.
At ECCKSA, our publications are designed to inform, engage, and support our members while strengthening our advocacy efforts and visibility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ECCKSA, launched in May 2024, the Chamber is currently balancing the provision of dedicated benefits to its existing members with the need to clearly showcase value to prospective ones.
While most of our current resources are publicly accessible during our development phase, we aim to develop exclusive guides and reports reserved for members. In addition, we host member-only networking opportunities such as receptions, business breakfasts and other closed-door gatherings to strengthen connections within our business community.
At the ECCKSA, our advocacy approach is structured around sectoral roundtables followed by the establishment of dedicated committees. These initiatives bring together Saudi authorities and leading European companies, both members and non-members, to address sector-specific challenges and opportunities. Following each roundtable, we invite ECCKSA member companies interested in deeper engagement to form and lead a dedicated committee. In August 2024, we held a Mobility Roundtable, which led to the creation of the Transport and Mobility Committee. This committee, comprising over a dozen member companies, officially began meeting in February 2025.
In October 2024, we organised an Energy Roundtable. The Energy Committee was officially launched in May 2025, following the visit of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) to Saudi Arabia.
Also in October 2024, we hosted a major event titled "Women in Leadership", with the aim of launching a dedicated committee on gender diversity and leadership. Discussions to formalise this committee are currently ongoing.
In April 2025, we successfully organised a Healthcare Roundtable, which received strong interest and is expected to result in the launch of a Healthcare Committee in the near future.Additional sectoral initiatives are being planned, including potential committees or platforms focused on Hospitality, ICT, and Construction. We are also exploring the development of cross-sectoral discussion platforms to foster dialogue across industries.
