European Business Group Tanzania (EUBGTZ)

The European Business Group Tanzania (EUBG) was established in early 2015 with the aim of improving Tanzania's business climate and fostering trade and investment between Europe and the East African country. The group maintains a strong engagement with local authorities, actively participating in more than 10 government engagements in 2022. Additionally, it sustains a robust relationship with the EU Delegation.

EUBG is private organisation comprising  of over 120 members, including both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from various sectors. These sectors range from energy and agriculture to finance. The group's mission is to promote trade and investment between Europe and Tanzania, provide a platform for networking and business development, and offer support to its members in navigating the complex business environment in Tanzania.

To accomplish its objectives, EUBG provides a range of valuable services and resources to its members. These include market intelligence, business matching, advocacy efforts, and networking events. The group works closely with Tanzanian authorities to advocate for a favorable business environment for European businesses. Through policy dialogue and engagement, EUBG promotes regulatory reforms and seeks to increase market access. By supporting sustainable and responsible business practices, the group contributes to the overall economic growth and development of Tanzania and the region.
