The EBO Worldwide Network is proud to present the Annual Report for 2024, showcasing a year of significant achievements and growth. Our commitment to fostering collaboration and support among European Business Organisations (EBOs) worldwide has driven us to expand our network, enhance our governance, and strengthen our partnerships with stakeholders.
Network Expansion
One of the highlights of 2024 has been the expansion of our network. The EBO Network has grown from 49 members in 2022 to 54 EBOs currently, welcoming new organisations from diverse regions. This growth not only broadens our reach but also amplifies our collective voice on key issues impacting European businesses globally.
Strengthened Framework
We have made substantial progress in building a robust and sustainable framework for the EBO Network. Our board has been expanded, with specific responsibilities allocated to board members to ensure effective governance. Additionally, we have appointed regional coordinators across six regions—Africa, ASEAN, Americas & Caribbean, East Asia & Pacific, South Asia & Middle East, and Europe & Eastern Partnership—facilitating closer collaboration and support within these areas.
Stakeholder Engagement
Effective communication with stakeholders, including EU institutions and European business organisations, remains a priority. We have institutionalised regular consultations with partners in DG GROW and DG INTPA, participated in the Global Gateway Business Advisory Group, and developed position papers on key topics. Our annual Brussels meeting has been expanded to provide more opportunities for dialogue and engagement with relevant officials and stakeholders.
Enhanced Online Presence
We have significantly improved our online presence, including a revamped website and a quarterly member bulletin. These initiatives ensure timely updates and insights on relevant issues, leveraging digital platforms for effective communication and engagement.
Financial Management & Governance
We have made significant progress in financial management and governance, resolving outstanding legacy issues and implementing appropriate budgeting and oversight mechanisms. This allows the Board to plan and make informed decisions on resource allocation and capacity.
